An example of this behavior is locking your steering-wheel in place during a game of chicken (and telling your opponent you did so). I feel this question is on topic for game theory but might be hard to ask on other stacks. – logicbird Apr 24 '11 at 0:20

Is it all formal, or are practical simple heuristic algorithms on topic too? – Tadeusz A. Kadłubowski Jun 29 '10 at 19:31
This question is about the board game (see en.wikipedia.org/wiki/… ) whether the proposal is about game theory -- en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Game_theory . – Noam Jun 30 '10 at 7:11

Isn't Ticket to Ride a good topic for game theory research? It has clear rules, discrete set of states, imperfect information about the deck of cards and is played sequentially. Good enough for my research. I believe that my question is off-topic because it is more AI-oriented and algorithmic than game-theoretic. It is not off-topic just because it is about a game that hasn't been studied extensively by game theoreticians. – Tadeusz A. Kadłubowski Jun 30 '10 at 7:46

I think this is far too broad to be a good question on SE. – TZHX Feb 28 '11 at 10:59
I agree with @TZHX that it is broad. But I'm a little biased here as I'm very interested in applications of game theory to social networks... so I voted On-Topic :) – becko Aug 24 '11 at 0:47
@becko: I'm not saying it's not interesting - but it's more suitable for the subject of a book than a question on a Q&A website. :) – TZHX Aug 27 '11 at 17:23
