This sounds interesting. I just wonder if you'd accept merging this proposal into Popular Natural Sciences as the [experiments-at-home] tag? – Tobias Kienzler Jul 9 '10 at 10:26
@Tobias KienzlerNope Im not really interested in Popular Natural Sciences proposal. – Chesc Dec 13 '11 at 23:14
@Chesc then what do you think are your example questions about? ;-) – Tobias Kienzler Dec 14 '11 at 6:13

Questions on sourcing materials/tools are on topic, but is it a "great example" of a question? Not sure this is the best example of question, especially since there was no context to the question. – patrickgamer Oct 20 '10 at 19:00

off-topic: this is a parenting/child psychology question, not a question on performing science at home. Child psychology at home should not be counted in science@home, file that under parenting.stackexchange.com. – Heath Hunnicutt Jul 11 '10 at 15:49

I think that if the focus was reworked, this could be on topic, but as-is I agree with Heath. Something like "What home science projects would be appropriate for someone aged 11 to participate in?" would change my off-topic vote to on-topic... – patrickgamer Oct 20 '10 at 18:56

Seems more suitable for a discussion / wiki type of thread, rather than a simple Q&A. – winwaed Jun 3 '11 at 12:54
Agreed but I find the question interesting, can't we have a discussion section for our scientists doing science@home? This question would be annoying in a Q&A section but would be good in a discussion section. – Chesc Dec 13 '11 at 23:34

It's difficult to tell what is being asked here. This question is ambiguous, vague, incomplete, overly broad, or rhetorical and cannot be reasonably answered in its current form.
