What does anyone think about dropping the reference to translation in the description. I don't think the world needs another fountain of "How do you say..." type questions. For anyone learning a new language they aren't really very helpful. – Chris Aug 17 '10 at 10:25

IMO - this proposal can focus on people who are looking for resources to learn new language, translate phrase or question, focus on grammar of languages; rather than sticking into just translation... because there is already ongoing proposal area51.stackexchange.com/proposals/4306/… – Sandy Aug 5 '10 at 11:26

btw this question is off-topic, because it is subjective. Learning curve and difficulty level may change person by person; and other factors like geographical location, religion etc – Sandy Aug 5 '10 at 11:28

It seems that having questions asked in any language on a stack about languages in general could be problematic and result in reduplication. Perhaps a lingua franca is necessary for discussion purposes? – Kaji Dec 10 '10 at 4:25
