Homeschooling is not specific to the US, so referring specifically to states makes the answers much less relevant to people outside of the USA. – JohnGB Nov 14 '11 at 10:52

This would probably be closed as too broad and too general. – ogerard Apr 25 '11 at 17:28
I disagree with ogerard. Curriculum is a specific topic, and while "the Internet" might seem quite broad, incorporating the Internet into your curriculum is a narrower scope and is a very common question for new homeschoolers. – Kenneth LeFebvre Aug 10 '11 at 14:04
perhaps the question could be narrowed to "What are some good research sources online" etc – studiohack Dec 31 '11 at 4:16

I think this is too subjective, as what is most important to one person may not be to another. – Flimzy Nov 28 '11 at 19:23

It's difficult to tell what is being asked here. This question is ambiguous, vague, incomplete, overly broad, or rhetorical and cannot be reasonably answered in its current form.

Better suited than what? Public school? Charter school? Private school? – Flimzy Oct 29 '11 at 9:56

closed as too localized by wax eagle, Dori Sep 30 '11 at 22:40

This question is unlikely to ever help any future visitors; it is only relevant to a small geographic area, a specific moment in time, or an extraordinarily narrow situation that is not generally applicable to the worldwide audience of the internet.

This sounds very much like a shopping recommendation, which are off-topic on the vast majority of SE sites. Is this, or can this be made different in some way? – Flimzy Oct 29 '11 at 9:55
@Flimzy - if this were rewritten something like, "How do [curriculum A] and [curriculum B] compare with their [grammar] approaches?" I think we might have a valid question (which I just asked). – warren May 2 at 14:06

Are there any cases where felons have been disallowed from homeschooling?
added by Peter Turner Jul 6 '11 at 16:45

This sounds like an interesting question, but how is it useful? How does it solve a problem you face? Any answers will probably be too localized to ever be useful. Unless your concern is "I'm a felon, will I be allowed to homeschool my children?" And even that may be too localized – Flimzy Oct 29 '11 at 9:58
@flimzy I'm not sure how courts in general operate, but I've heard of rulings in the United States referencing European case law, which sounds absurd but would make just about anything court related not too localized (for America at least) – Peter Turner Oct 31 '11 at 21:52
