This hardly fits the "finer points" suggestion in the proposal description, but are cruder questions about the language in general really going to be off topic? Suggesting as on-topic just to see how it flies. – Caleb Aug 20 '11 at 16:47

Can Persian speakers understand people speaking Dari or Pashto at all?
added by hippietrail Nov 14 '11 at 17:18

It's an interesting question but Is it on-topic? – Gigili Jan 24 '12 at 10:00

Well it's definitely more on-topic than asking whether Dari and Pashto speakers can understand each other (-: – hippietrail Jan 24 '12 at 10:17

Is it usual in Persian to change the order of sentence's parts? For example in poetries.
added by Hamed Momeni Jun 28 '12 at 20:17
link|flag
in speaking yes and in writing no. In speaking there is no boundary to change the order of sentences until they understand your sentence meaning. For example: the sentence: " Let's go together" can be say like these: "بیا با هم بریم" , "بیا بریم با هم" , "با هم بیا بریم" and in poetries almost there is no rule and it can be changed depend on the poet creativity – Siamak.A.M 2 days ago

When we need to use the vowel indicators in Persian?
added by Nate Apr 20 '12 at 10:38

When the word has two or more meaning depends on different usage of vowels indicator. But mostly it can be guessed from the context of the sentence or paragraph and there is no need to use indicators. Mostly we use indicators in short literary sentences or phrases or poem of course which the vowels can change their meanings. – Siamak.A.M 2 days ago

Is there any websites to learn Persian language?

Seems like a bit of an unnecessary question since the stackexchange site will be one of these sites. – Simon Aronsson Jun 28 '12 at 8:25
3
And beside, Stackexchange is a Q&A website, meaning that you ask your question, and people with an idea of the answer posts their opinions. Therefore, it is not a "link pool" to other websites. – narengi Aug 22 '12 at 11:07
@narengi Amir ask a question, if you have idea about his question you must leave comment! @amir Latifi persian-language.org/learning-list.html – Arash Mousavi Sep 12 '12 at 5:14

@Arash: I doubt that you have read the FAQ section of area51. I refer you to this FAQ link. It says there, and I quote, "... by proposing hypothetical questions, and then voting whether or not they are good questions for the site. Questions can be upvoted if you think they'll be interesting, downvoted ..., and closed if you think they are a poor fit for the community". It means that here, the goal is not to answer the questions, but to vote whether there are good fits for the future website or not, and I posted mu opinion on Amir's question. – narengi Sep 13 '12 at 10:08
This site wouldn't be a learning center in the future. The goal and the target is to be a Q&A site. I suppose this question will be a question for too many learners. – Amir Latifi Sep 16 '12 at 9:27

It is an elementary question – PHPst Jul 29 '12 at 11:04
@Reza: Nevertheless, should be brought up on this forum, as there is no other place on internet ( or at least none that I know of) to ask such questions. – narengi Aug 22 '12 at 11:06
@narengi Such elementary question should be searched in books and language learning sites, there are a lot of such sites. – PHPst Aug 22 '12 at 14:31
