I think this proposal should be for everything about comics except creating them - that's a whole different story. For that, check out and follow the "Making Comics" proposal. area51.stackexchange.com/proposals/9271/… – Pekka Jul 30 '10 at 10:40

Might it make more sense to simply fold this into the Sci-Fi site? They're already talking about whether or not to include comics. – neilfein Jan 20 '11 at 7:37

I dont thin you should have a separate exchange for making comics versus this exchange. If you start splitting things off into too many exchanges, it just waters them down and none of them get enough activity to be viable. I'd say keep this one as broad as possible in regards to topics to accept, and then later on if it gets enough traffic, split it off into a separate exchange about making comics vs everything else comic related. – Merk Jan 21 '11 at 18:34

Great question. You can have hundreds like this one, and have great feedback. – Fernando Oct 20 '10 at 1:00
Aren't these types of questions usually discouraged on SE sites? Or is that just general "what's good" type questions? – chuzzum Jun 23 '11 at 10:40

There's a difference between a small example image of an art style, though, and posting sequential pages of a book. Asking to find the identity of an artist seems like a good question, since then you can track down the book and buy it! – daestwen Oct 22 '10 at 0:26

added by Mark Rogers, edited by WikiSpeedia hang-around Jun 1 '11 at 15:33

This question might be dated, since there's always the possibility that the character might die again in a few months/years. Also, it would lead to discussions considering if some deaths are canon or non-canon. – Wilerson Feb 17 '11 at 3:55
@Wilerson - could then say it's a great off-topic question, because you don't want to see it on the site for those reasons. – Mark Rogers Feb 17 '11 at 5:42

As this is asking about an event in time, it will be dated, and irrelevant, very quickly, breaking the wiki reference concept that stackexchange is built on. – johnc Oct 20 '10 at 2:50

this seems very similar to the question "Which are the key books (must-have) in the X comic series as to catch up with the main story?" – Merk Jan 21 '11 at 18:36
This happens a lot. And if you search Wikipedia, It is usually outdated, If you seek on forums, reviews, etc, you don't understand a lot. – Herman Junge Apr 8 '11 at 22:49

wouldn't this typically be too broad of a question, enticing the creation of subjective lists that can change over time with no single correct answer? – Xantec Jun 16 '11 at 16:56
