@AffableGeek I was getting at the basics, not specifics to a certain program. Most people on SE who give legal advice mark the top of their post with the typical "IANAL" acronym. Nothing is a replacement for a real lawyer. I never meant it for that. – Cole Johnson Feb 16 at 4:24

How can I unregister to vote in the united states?

Already on topic at politics.se – Affable Geek Feb 16 at 3:27
You can unregister? – Joe Z. Mar 19 at 17:16
1
Joe Zeng: Yes, you most certainly can. One primary benefit is that in most states, this takes you off of the roster of potential jurors. I've long given up voting. I just wouldn't care about it, however, I made the final decision to un-register so that I wouldn't have the chance of getting called to "service" for jury duty. :P – RLH Mar 19 at 18:07

Better title would be "Is it possible to register to vote for [United States] in [Montreal, Canada]? If so, how?" Or maybe two questions: "Is it possible to register to vote for [United States] in [Montreal, Canada]?" And if the answers are yes, but don't say how, ask another question titled "How do I register to vote for [United States] in [Montreal, Canada]. – Cole Johnson Jan 8 at 16:43

closed as not a real question by Robert Cartaino♦ Jun 11 '12 at 20:41

It's difficult to tell what is being asked here. This question is ambiguous, vague, incomplete, overly broad, or rhetorical and cannot be reasonably answered in its current form.

"Reference" questions that can be easily looked up on Wikipedia or other source like it are not generally accepted: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Constitutional_monarchy – Robert Cartaino♦ Jun 11 '12 at 20:40

@RobertCartaino how can we trust wikipedia ;) – Cole Johnson Jun 14 '12 at 4:21
@ColeJohnson - Since both wikipedia and any given stack exchange site are collaboratively edited by a community of self proclaimed experts, why would you think one could be trusted any more or less than the other? – Mark Booth Aug 16 '12 at 9:34
@MarkBooth I trust wikipedia, it's for those hypocrites out there that use wikipedia but say that its inaccurate. Plus on these sites, edits are peer reviewed up to a certain reputation – Cole Johnson Aug 18 '12 at 5:13
