@lechlukasz: as I think about it now, I'm considering reformulation the question. "Cumulations of consonants" are in many languages", but only a few languages have syllables without any vowels. – Pavel Dec 27 '12 at 11:39
r and l are in Czech a kind of quasi-vovel AFAIU – Łukasz Lech Dec 27 '12 at 19:04

I tried to give this a bit more depth, but I think your version was okay, it perhaps sounded a bit superficial. – jonsca Jul 7 '12 at 8:12

The downvote is mine. The reason is general reference, and, since the answer is googled in a two clicks, it will indicate no research effort. So I guess it is not salvageable. :( – bytebuster Jan 19 at 6:41
all i get when i Google it is a list of Slavic languages cant find a list of countries that use them. Also does that necessarily make the question bad? You can google a lot of questions but it can be hard to find the right information. – Xitcod13 Jan 19 at 6:45
Listing questions are generally frowned upon anyway. – theUg Jan 19 at 22:35

Why do Slavic languages use adjectives where other languages use adverbs, in sentences such as "I arrived here first"?

The example sentence is ambiguous. "I arrived here first" can mean "I am the first one who arrived here" or "this is the first place where I arrived". – ymar Aug 27 '12 at 16:02

How introduction of Cyrillic alphabet affected the overall development of science, society, and the culture in Slavic countries? Was it good or evil?
added by bytebuster Sep 12 '12 at 5:29

Background: There are many researches done by respectful scientists suggesting that introduction of Cyrillic in ancient Slavic countries has actually slowed down their development due to less comprehension of a Latin and Greek literature available at that time . Is it true? – bytebuster Sep 12 '12 at 5:32
We don't need no stinkin Latin. :D – theUg Feb 27 at 17:50
