@Phoenix - Good point! While the questions here will likely be broad, it's expected that on the beta site we would hold askers accountable for providing lots of detail about the question. In this case, I only have 7 characters left. :) With that said, if you have 5 of your own, please add them! :) We need lots of example questions to keep the proposal hot. – jmort253 Aug 2 '12 at 6:12

Maybe labels could be added like: "keep-your-lane" or "keep-righ-unless-to-pass". The latter is a bit long, but you get the idea. These labels would be applicable to questions where locality is of concern to the question. – MarchingHome Oct 23 '12 at 4:11

@MarchingHome, you're right that those details would be important. However, tags (or labels, as you call them ;) ) are intended to represent the content of the question, not the answers. So I, as question-asker, wouldn't know to use such labels. Those would go in answers, and I would add details describing where I live, like Oregon, USA, for example, and any other relevant information needed to provide a good answer. ;) – jmort253 Oct 23 '12 at 6:30

Yeah, if I could have entered a description instead of just a title I would have gone into more detail there. I guess the real question is "should I buy light soft sprockets or hard/heavy ones?". The stronger/heavier sprockets are slightly more expensive and they probably outlast the chain anyway? Or maybe the soft sprockets wearing out causes additional chain wear? Hi Cillie, I edited your question to ask for criteria instead of specific bikes. Shopping questions tend to be just random snapshots in time, since the best bike today may not be the best tomorrow. Asking for criteria instead gives future visitors something of value they can use in determining how to select a bike, despite what the latest popular trends are.
