Generally speaking questions which solicit debate are off topic on stack exchange sites, most sites require that you should only ask practical, answerable questions based on actual problems that you face. – Mark Booth Aug 29 '12 at 10:57
could edit the question to something like "I'd like to replace PLC because of [this problem] and [that], what are my choices?" – woliveirajr Aug 29 '12 at 19:53
@wolivirajr - Sadly that turns it into a shopping question which is also considered a bad fit. Better would be "I'm having [this problem] with [this PLC], is there a way to get it to do what I want?" – Mark Booth Sep 7 '12 at 0:26

Straight electronics questions would be much much better off on Electrical engineering. – Mark Booth Aug 28 '12 at 10:57
I agree. I am only a begineer in the field. I humbly ask the experts to continue from here on.... – lakshmikanthan pillai Aug 29 '12 at 0:39
