Remember that votes above 10 do not help a proposal to complete its definition phase, so many people consider every vote over 10 to be a wasted vote. It is far more useful to use your vote to approve of a question with fewer than 10 votes. Also, if a question you have already voted on now has more than 10 votes, remember that you can remove your up vote and put it on another suitable question, to help a proposal get through the definition phase more quickly. – Mark Booth Feb 22 at 11:56

This question is more of a manufacturing topic than mechanical engineering. – abqsteve May 10 at 2:38
@abqsteve That's a pretty broad, blurry line. If your engineering never results in a design that is built in the real-world, then you wouldn't need to know this answer. Otherwise, even if you're building a single proof-of-concept unit that is powder-coated, you're going to have to deal with "manufacturing" issues like this. – alx9r May 10 at 18:27

Seems like a valid engineering Standards question. I don't get why this was downvoted. – alx9r Jan 13 at 7:35
<comments removed> Please do not use comments to answer these questions. This proposal is not part of a Q&A site, and the task at hand is to help define what is on and off topic for a site. Comments are here to help improve the questions; not to answer them. Thank you. – Robert Cartaino♦ Mar 2 at 14:56
