What are you attempting to ask? This appears to be a statement in Lojban without an associated question. – ObsessiveSSOℲ Nov 8 '12 at 1:01
@bsessiveSSOℲ It's a question in Lojban. I've added a discussion topic on whether to allow such questions. Thanks for pointing out, btw! – ento Nov 8 '12 at 2:07
Lojban sentences that begin with "xu" are yes/no questions that are asking whether the following statement is true or false. In this case "ro lo cmevla cu cmene" means "Every cmevla is a cmene.", and "xu ro lo cmevla cu cmene" means "Is every cmevla a cmene?" – Jim Nov 10 '12 at 21:54

Voted to close: the question title reads like a discussion. As it stands, StackExchange Q&A sites are not designed to handle discussions. This type of topic will be better served by the Lojban mailing list. – ento Nov 23 '12 at 0:16
@ento I actually like the general idea, even though the question should be reformulated. – astabada Jan 14 at 20:52

This question does not relate to the topic of the proposal.

None of our Stack Exchange language sites are built to provide direct translation services. – Robert Cartaino♦ Oct 22 '12 at 18:50
@RobertCartiano I've asked for an idiomatic phrase for a word in a different language, over at russian.SE. Is that not valid, since it was not really rejected over at the site? – ObsessiveSSOℲ Nov 8 '12 at 0:56

I would say that "How do you say..." questions are not suitable, but "Is this a good way of saying...", "Are there better ways of saying...", and '"I'm trying to say... but I am having problems with..." are suitable questions. – Jim Nov 10 '12 at 21:50
