Since no one but the author can edit the description, I am starting a competing proposal: Animal Health and Behavior, at area51.stackexchange.com/proposals/11526/… . I will be trying for more of an expert focus. You can follow as many proposals as you want, so there is no real problem with having two competing proposals at this early stage. – forefinger Jul 6 '10 at 21:48

Tough call, since it's a valid question, but at the same time, the only real answer is "yes". – Daniel Huckstep Sep 7 '10 at 21:12
It being such a tough call makes it an ideal on-topic question, IMHO :) – MPelletier Oct 8 '10 at 18:04

I too would love to know the answer to this, but as worded this is kind of vague. Testimonials really mean squat - you can find people who claim that their cats thrive on Purina Cat Chow. I think it would be better rephrased as, "is there any data on the effectiveness of LK?" – Aaronaught Aug 23 '10 at 20:35
@Aaronaught: I made a new question as suggested. – MPelletier Mar 20 '11 at 2:00

How is it off-topic ? It's still about a pet, even if not yours : the problem would not be the same if it was a stray cat. – William Cirse Jun 6 '11 at 16:18

In the dog sport Fly-Ball how and when do you train a swimmers turn?
added by BitOff Oct 9 '10 at 20:13

What does this mean? – DJClayworth Nov 5 '10 at 13:19
Fly-Ball is a dog sport where the dog runs down a lane over a few jumps to a box that pops out a ball. The dog catches the ball and runs back over the jumps to the beginning. A swimmers turn describes one way to train the turn on the way back. – BitOff Nov 8 '10 at 3:07
