A) I love programming computers.

B) I generally do not like Stack Overflow. This stems from these major problems: 1) The environment is a lot like Wikipedia (i.e. too many copy-pasters, weenies, and rep whores). 2) The tendency of contibutors is to tell others how to smoke their cigars (i.e. you're an idiot if you don't do something exactly as they tell you). 3) Reputation points are king here. Someone's answer may or may not be correct, but they will defend their information to the death in order to secure reputation.

C) I am a medical cannabis fan.

D) My profile pic is the sun setting on the Mediterranean as seen from Cafe del Mar in San Antoni, Ibiza. I am, however, not typical of 99.5% of the island's visitors. I went explicitly for the music and the sunset, not the clubs and the drugs (though I do enjoy those on occasion).

E) I am on a personal crusade against the large hipster clique in the developer industry. I don't know where it came from, but it sucks and it is damaging to the future of development. What do I mean by this? I came across the following passage, which puts it into perfect metaphor:

"As a relatively recent adopter of [platform] and [language] I find the tendency to offer [library/framework] to newcomers a bit like offering a boat to someone who has just joined a swimming club and is learning to swim:

A: 'I'm finding swimming tricky' B: 'Use a boat!' A: 'I think I want to understand swimming' B: 'Use a kayak! It's quicker. It's like it swims for you!' A: 'Nearly everyone else here is swimming. It can't be that hard. I just need help with wrapping my head around it.' C: 'Try these water-wings called [pattern] while you get used to the water.' A: 'Oh thanks, that looks useful.' B: 'Use a kayak!' A: 'Look, I'm not afraid of getting wet or anything and I can doggy-paddle but it's exhausting. I want to learn good swimming technique. Can you point me to some useful resources?' B: 'La la la use a boat!' A: sigh (leaves)"
