<comments removed> @Anonymous Please do not use comments to answer these questions. This proposal is not part of a Q&A site, and the task at hand is to help define what is on and off topic for a site. Comments are here to help improve the questions; not to answer them. closed as duplicate of Is there any way to program functions into this calculator (ex: calculate gradient, normal/tangential lines, regressions, etc)? by Robert Cartaino♦ Jan 24 at 15:47

This question covers exactly the same ground as another question in this proposal.

This proposal is about to undergo a final review, so while this may not be closed as an "exact duplicate" on the actual site, for the purpose of evaluating the scope of this proposal, combining example questions which cover much the same subject space helps assure we have a sufficient breadth of subject matter to actually launch this site. – Robert Cartaino♦ Jan 24 at 15:48

Stack Exchange was designed to answer applied, technical support-style questions, but questions regarding feature requests, bug reports, and future-direction discussions should continue to go to the project team hosted on whatever platform they provide for customer support and discussion. – Robert Cartaino♦ Jan 24 at 15:33
@Robert @Henry @public please reconsider this question. I edited the question. As it happens the program can in fact already do what this user was requesting. – Saeid Nourian Jan 24 at 16:32
Generally speaking, changing a question after it's been voted on render that question/voting moot (the question would need to be reposted), but the substance of this edit is close enough to the original intent to let it continue. Re-opened. – Robert Cartaino♦ Jan 24 at 17:03
Great, thank you! – Saeid Nourian Jan 25 at 17:46
