Maybe we can rephrase this to 'Which species of mushroom is most likely to produce a harvest in less than 5 years in temperate climate?'… – iwein Jan 31 at 20:46

How quickly in meter per year do mychorrizal fungi penetrate soil from one original location?
added by user223414 Jan 12 at 16:28

I'd rephrase to "What is the speed of soil penetration for mycorrhizae" potentially also adding a few words about the initial conditions and env. Definitely also fix the spelling error. 'mycorrhizae' is a word I have to look up every time, so no judgment ;) – iwein Jan 13 at 7:36

Maybe we can split this into multiple, more specific questions, for different climates and soils. Not all crops grow everywhere, and the answer could become long. – iwein Jan 17 at 15:47

There are a lot of very different correct answers to this question. Perhaps we can reduce the search space by being more specific about the context? – iwein Jan 31 at 20:47

It's difficult to tell what is being asked here. This question is ambiguous, vague, incomplete, overly broad, or rhetorical and cannot be reasonably answered in its current form.

What cash crops are most often added to a corn and soybean rotation in {zone 6b} in {sandy} soil?
added by James Risner, edited by warren Mar 24 at 12:37

Better: "What cash crops are most often added to a corn and soybean rotation in {zone 6b}?". The answer to "is there" is always always "yes" or "no" - which is not especially helpful. – warren Feb 7 at 14:27

What are ways to encourage clover in grass fields on sandy soil in temperate climates without inputs?
added by Agnes Jan 15 at 18:35

Maybe rephrase to be more specific. The question is clear enough to me, but I see a 'not a real question' close vote on this one. How about: 'Is there a natural solution to stimulate phosphate availability for clover in grassland without using it as input?' – iwein Jan 17 at 15:45

any forms of animal husbandry still go on in winter. As does processing harvested produce into other things (canning, fermenting, dehydrating...) – warren Mar 24 at 12:36
@warren this is not a place to answer questions. Considering how active you have been in A51, and the fact that you have told other people the same thing, I wonder why you are doing it in this case? – Nike Dattani Mar 24 at 12:39
@Nike - I am quite aware this is not a place to answer questions. I left samples because this question has been downvoted, though it's an obviously-good-fitting question. – warren Mar 25 at 20:21

Is organic no-till farming possible?
added by Mike van der slikke Feb 7 at 11:24
link|flag
1
Bringing in words such as "possible" tend to lead to discussions. How about, for events that are very rare to hear taking place, asking about it like: "Are there any researches/results on organic no-till farming?" It's possible a person already having great results on that is then able to answer. – leguchi Mar 14 at 2:39

I'm curious why this gets so many downvotes. It's a perfectly understandible question which could be answered with a link to en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_C4_plants – iwein Feb 23 at 12:23

A question that is answered by simply entering the keyword in a Google search is not a question for Stack Exchange. – Nij Feb 24 at 10:14
@Nij ... right up until the answer on Google comes from SE ;) – warren Mar 21 at 12:04
