Hate to edit the proposal without checking, but I would propose inserting the word "Video," at least into the description. It will prevent debates about the appropriateness of discussing Boggle, Ur, or Beer Pong. – Jaydles Jun 1 '10 at 20:35

I'm not sure if we would have to start excluding those questions right from the start. Look at gamersqna.com, smartergamer.com and gamelegend.com. All three gaming site, are they flooded with Facebook or iPhone questions? No, because Modern Warfare and World of Warcraft kick their asses. Yes social games are popular, but not with our (current) typical users – Ivo Flipse Jun 1 '10 at 21:16

"Gaming" is way too generic. It can also mean gambling. It can also mean tabletop roleplaying/strategy/board games. "Computer and Video Games" would remove all doubt. – Al E. Jun 2 '10 at 15:47

I don't think this would be subjective. There are different levels of gaming machines to be sure, however each has to be fast. Chipsets might be on personal preference, but in the end it comes down to Frame Rates per second. – David Basarab Jun 3 '10 at 21:27

I would start with banning questions about: does this game run on my system? Perhaps have one CW question that lists apps that help you check for it or a website that lists these system requirements, but we're not here to help everyone RTFM – Ivo Flipse Jun 1 '10 at 21:00

The minimum and recommended system requirements don't always pertain to the systems we have. I have a 64 bit operating system and many games I want to play don't specify if they work on a 64 bit OS. So, it makes sense to ask such questions. – Waleed Al-Balooshi Jun 2 '10 at 3:09

Just to explain why to post such a question: it is often difficult to find this information of the websites of the games, and it a huge discriminator for a casual gamer to determine if it is worth it to go and purchase the game.
