What is the minimum distance from objects when activating the Wx radar on ground, and what objects must be outside this distance?
added by Radu094 May 15 '13 at 11:13

I think that this question is too vague, as it will vary (perhaps greatly) depending on the specific model of Wx radar. – lnafziger May 28 '13 at 5:26

How much does it typically currently cost (in <year>) to get a PPL in <country>

Something like cost can frequently change over time. There's no knowing if an answer to this question will still be accurate the next day. – animuson♦ Aug 19 '12 at 9:10

I think you misunderstand the meaning of the word "typically" – Jamiec Aug 20 '12 at 7:49
@jamiec Questions like this that have a wide range of answers and change a lot over time / between people are hard to fit in to the Stack Exchange Q&A model -- they're really more of a poll than something that can have a hard answer. (For example I'm taking way longer than most people to get my PPL-ASEL, and correspondingly more money, because my schedule doesn't let me fly often. Conversely a student at Embry-Riddle would spend a lot less time/money on their PPL) – voretaq7 Sep 26 '12 at 20:04
@voretaq7 - I bet, however long you've taken for your PPL, wasn't as long as I took ;) I kind of like this question (obvs I wrote it!) as I think it is just the sort of information somebody looking to get their PPL would be searching the net to find out. But hey ho... community speaks. – Jamiec Oct 4 '12 at 13:40
mumble*started in 2006 - checkride on Tuesday*mumble :-) (I did go buy a house and stuff in the middle there and took like 4 years off flying…kinda screwed up the training timeline there...) Perhaps I can get tenure at the flight school? :) – voretaq7 Oct 4 '12 at 17:53

@semihKorkmaz - if its evidence you're after, and if you can proove it is a notable claim that they were dangerous then it definately belongs on skeptics! – Jamiec Oct 22 '12 at 15:50

What planes does <airline> fly on its route from <here to there>?

I think this would me a more appropriate question on the travel site rather than the aviation site. – Keeg Aug 15 '12 at 1:16

I'm thinking from the point of view of an enthusiast more interested in knowing where all the A300s in the world are flying than a traveller wanting to know the seating plan. – DJClayworth Aug 15 '12 at 3:22
