This is too localized.  He eats his cat toys, is it harmful?  is a better question. – Synetech Nov 14 '12 at 16:56

I don't see how it could be too localized unless cats that eat toys are rarer (they are not). These are two different, but related, questions. – Ben Brocka Nov 14 '12 at 17:28

What steps can I take to get rid of my [pet]'s acne and to keep it from coming back?
added by Souta Dec 24 '12 at 23:31
link
I think there needs to be more specification on "pets" many pets don't get acne – FeatheredFriend91 Jan 24 '13 at 22:34
@FeatheredFriend91 Then those people wouldn't be asking a question like this. I'm thinking more like cat / dog... and it actually isn't all that uncommon. Btw, there is an apostrophe 's', not plural. – Souta Jan 25 '13 at 2:32
What do you mean by people like that? Someone could have a dog, cat, hamster chinchilla or other rodent, rabbit, ferret etc. and treating it might be different depending on the species. Or someone who doesn't know fish might think their fish has acne when it could actually be a fungal infection. I just tried to think of all the possibilities. I apologize about my grammar. I do my best and autocorrect doesn't help. Usually it makes things worse. Though in your case the grammar is correct I think mine is too because I was talking about plural pets not something on a pet as you were :) – FeatheredFriend91 Jan 25 '13 at 11:29
This is the whole point of the question, though. You're forgetting that you explain your scenario after you ask the initial question. So It would be listed that the owner as 'x' pet (x most likely being a furry animal because they have hair follicles). Someone with a reptile, won't ask this question. (Reptiles don't have hair follicles and therefore they don't get acne.) That doesn't mean this question has a problem. It just means that it is geared towards a hair-follicle pet. Pet is in brackets meant to be replaced with whatever pet you own. (In case that is what spurred this?) – Souta Jan 25 '13 at 22:54
To continue the last part "my [pet]" would then be "my cat" or "my dog" or "my [insert what pet you have that has acne]" – Souta Jan 25 '13 at 22:55

Is it better to trim a dog's nails when they're dry or when they're soft after a bath?
added by Niall C. Jan 7 '13 at 16:37

"better" is not the correct question because I think it doesn't matter. I would say "easier" is the better question and I would say yes. – William Jan 13 '13 at 18:06
@William: Easier is not always better. Better may be more risk-free (health-wise), with lasting effects, not requiring special tools etc. – SF. Jan 16 '13 at 11:32
