There are better questions below, in my opinion. While this is on-topic, it's also likely to be addressed in the [ebook-reader] documentation. A more interesting question might be how to change the typeface to a font that is not installed by default. The Kindle fonts, for instance, are less than ideal. – Jon Ericson Nov 15 '12 at 20:06

Questions which can trivially be answered Yes are less useful than questions which ask how it can be achieved. Whilst Can I questions are usually answered as How can I questions, when we are trying to define the scope of a site it is better to be specific about the sort of questions we want. – Mark Booth Oct 16 '12 at 14:52

Please remember that votes above 10 do not help a proposal definition, so don't waste votes by voting up questions which already have 10 votes. It is far more useful to use your vote to approve of a question with fewer than 10 votes. Although this is the highest-voted question so far, I don't think it's a particularly great question. The problem isn't that the question is off-topic (it's not) but that the answer is too obvious. I don't think we want to duplicate the Amazon FAQ. – Jon Ericson Nov 15 '12 at 20:03

I suspect that this question would be more appropriate to Android Enthusiasts but might not even be on topic there. However I'm struggling to think of a rooting question which might be appropriate here (see Will questions about rooting e-readers be apropriate?) – Mark Booth Oct 18 '12 at 16:39

I'd go with having this question on-topic - Whether or not it is legal is a different topic than the technical results of it. Of course, any answer to this should contain a note about the legal issues as well. – user98085 Jan 5 '13 at 23:38

This question covers exactly the same ground as another question in this proposal.

@Robert: On the actual site, I would hope these questions would be separate since they compare slightly different displays. But for the sake of defining the site, it seems the consensus is that this sort of question is ontopic; they are pretty much the same. (Now that I think of it, a better question would probably along the lines of how such a thing might be measured.) – Jon Ericson Feb 15 '13 at 0:09

	I think this question got some vote in a rush to get things moving to the next level. Since that's taking more time than anticipated, there are perhaps better questions (and we only get 5 votes!). The idea of this question is talk about all devices. But I think it should be difficult to have the same service running on all of them, for hardware and software reasons. So, any solution per each device is also desirable. – Nicolás Jan 23 '13 at 14:22
