Have you seen moms4mom.com? – Dan Dumitru Jun 9 '10 at 10:51

For starters, use a less mom focused domain. There are plenty of issues that are related only to mom's or mom's to be, so right off that bat it might turn some dad's off. – evanmcd Jul 15 '10 at 3:22

Amen to evanmcd... while moms4mom made a fairly graceful effort to make dads feel included from the top (e.g. message from the owners), it does have somehwat dad-unfriendly atmosphere IMHO... as a dad who contributes at least 50% of parenting effort, expertise, time and sacrifice in the family, i was turned off off that site. – user12775 Jul 25 '10 at 18:56

Reason it's off topic: Personal question about ones individual life plan. Not a question related to how to parent. – Philip Thrasher Nov 17 '10 at 23:31

Obviously it is a decision budget based. If you have a lot of money then it may worth the price. What private school, by the way? There are a lot of different ones, based on teaching method, courses and attendant's age. – Eineki Nov 28 '10 at 18:45

As it is, this is probably off-topic (because it could include e.g. ironing). If "in the home" was changed to "looking after the kids" it'd probably be on-topic. – Wikis Sep 2 '10 at 12:40
I voted not a good example. How is this about parenting? This is just a relationship question. Maybe Mark is right if the question was changed from "in the home" to "looking after the kids", then I would consider it might be a good example. – Adam Porad Nov 11 '10 at 23:43
@Adam - thanks for explaining the vote. Ironically, in your definition, I think I could only have this question as "great on-topic" or "not a good example", right? How could it then become "great off-topic"? BTW - I think it is related (and therefore off-topic) because part of the role of parenting is dividing time between each other, children and chores. – Wikis Nov 12 '10 at 8:15

Why is my child acting out?
added by HedgeMage Nov 23 '10 at 0:58

Intended as off-topic, of course. – HedgeMage Nov 23 '10 at 1:00
Not so much an off-topic question as it is just not specific. – K L Nov 24 '10 at 18:28
I'd say the problem is it's too specific. Trying to assess individuals isn't helpful in a general sense, it's like asking on programmers "is company X a good place to work?" The information won't be relevant to a stranger who comes along a year later. – HedgeMage Nov 24 '10 at 19:17
