There is a CAD proposal. You might want to post this question there. – NauticalMile Nov 5 '13 at 4:06
Tools-->options-->open and save --> choose 2004. – Mhmd Mar 1 '14 at 18:25

@user689 The text of the question would probably explain that the OP doesn't have access to 2010, only 2004. – Ben Miller Mar 1 '14 at 18:59

What kind of specifics are you asking for here? For steel design, the AISC Steel Manual has all the information you need in regards to bolts and weld strength and equations to use as far as design is concerned. As for other types of fasteners, I'm not sure. – Robert Dechant Dec 21 '13 at 4:02

Where can I find a formula for the directions of the principal axes, according to beam theory, of a beam with an asymmetric section.
added by Tim H Oct 21 '13 at 10:55

To find the principle axis, use the same equations as with Mohr's circle with the corresponding section properties used in place of stresses. Ix = sigma_x, Iy = sigma_y, I_xy = Tau_xy. Leave a comment below and I can provide a google doc link with some old class notes. – Robert Dechant Mar 31 '14 at 3:53
