"what is the translation of it into other languages" makes this a list question--not to mention off-topic IMO. – Flimzy Apr 21 '14 at 13:18

"What is the true meaning" is confusing to me... are you suggesting it has a hidden meaning? Are you asking for the etymology? – Flimzy Apr 21 '14 at 13:18

Or... why does the 'ss' exist if there is a ç? And why does k exist if there is a c, and why does s exist if there is a z, etc, etc, etc. This question would be better asked as 'What is the history of ç?' or 'What is the history of ss?' – Flimzy May 19 '14 at 5:29

– gmauch Jan 8 '15 at 20:25

I didn't downvote your question, but your question is very general and could fill a book. I think this question would be very good, if you asked about more specific differences, for example differences in punctuation rules, word choice, or spelling (which was different until five years ago, as far as I know). – Earthliŋ May 17 '14 at 10:39

Do I have to translate technical words like "upload", "site", "input", "task", "file", when I am translating a manual for software developers?

– Earendul Dec 4 '14 at 12:12
– gmauch Jan 8 '15 at 20:01
