How can I make my origami models come out less wrinkly?
added by Nick Udell Oct 5 '14 at 1:18
link
I don't understand this question. Origami is wrinkled paper. – Earthliŋ Oct 6 '14 at 13:09
2
Typically very well-defined creases with flat sides, though. Wrinkly here means where the sides have additional crease marks / signs of wear where there shouldn't be any, – Nick Udell Oct 6 '14 at 15:36

How do you create skin color using the colors: red, yellow, orange, blue, green, pink, purple, and black? I want to draw a person, with no skin color.

Can you elaborate (with a comment, I know the question field is very limited in character length) on what you mean by "with no skin color"? I'd think if you used any kind of color for the skin, they'd have a skin color. – BSMP Mar 11 '15 at 16:24
@BSMP I think they mean "I have no "skin colour" paint but have to mix it from other colours". – starsplusplus Apr 29 '15 at 16:14
@starsplusplus - OH! OK, that makes sense. – BSMP Apr 29 '15 at 16:18

this is not a good question because the answer will be opinion – Zaralynda Oct 6 '14 at 20:25
1
@Zaralynda - I disagree - This question is a good subjective question considering the differentiation given here: blog.stackoverflow.com/2010/09/… – Aquarius_Girl Oct 7 '14 at 6:18
1
I agree, in hindsight, and have edited the question. – Nick Udell Oct 7 '14 at 20:02
1
@TheIndependentAquarius no. those answers really addressed "what characteristics should I look for when selecting X?" not "which is the best X?". It's irrelevant anyway because the author of this question edited it. – Zaralynda Oct 8 '14 at 17:04
2
@TheIndependentAquarius the FAQ states "Stack Exchange does not work well with questions like "Which is the best…" " – Zaralynda Oct 9 '14 at 12:48

I'm allergic to wool. Is it still possible for me to knit/crochet/spin/weave?
added by Belisama Oct 6 '14 at 13:48

Yes, depending on what you want to make. Between acrylic, silk, cotton, bamboo, etc - plus various blends - you can do almost anything wool can. Not perfectly, perhaps, but well enough. – jjmcgaffey Jun 19 '15 at 1:41

How do I create a buttonhole using the automatic buttonholer on my sewing machine?
added by Zaralynda Oct 6 '14 at 20:23

I think this would best be answered by "read the manual of your sewing machine". I've sewn button holes on different sewing machines and each time the procedure is different. – Earthliŋ Mar 2 '15 at 14:17
1
I believe SE can do better than RTFM, especially since many older machines may not have manuals available. A set of general instructions for a universal fit foot, or if the questioner asks about their specific model should be fine – Zaralynda Mar 2 '15 at 14:25
