For those who keep downvoting and closing questions because they believe "they aren't real": This one is a real problem: cord-cutters.wonderhowto.com/how-to/… – Philipp Jan 28 '16 at 9:18

A smart TV is not an IoT device. Just because a device can receive data from the Internet doesn't make it an IoT device. Troubleshooting TV firmware seems off-topic to me. – ColleenV Mar 10 '16 at 18:21
So an internet-connected fridge is on-topic, but an internet-connected TV is not? – Lego Stormtroopr Mar 13 '16 at 23:08

This question seems like its better suited in "web applications" or "hack your tv" if it existed. – Sky Apr 22 '16 at 22:44

Off topic. Removing adverts from an IOT device (a questionable one at that) has nothing to do with IOT. It is akin to asking how to remove the ice from my IOT freezer... – Rich C Jun 13 '16 at 21:45

This question is not a good fit to our Q&A format. We expect answers to generally involve facts, references, or specific expertise; this question will likely solicit opinion, debate, arguments, polling, or extended discussion.

Is this related to the internet in any way? – gerrit Jan 26 '16 at 16:07
1
@gerrit yes, because many cars receive update via the Internet. Electric cars from Tesla, for example, recently had some press about online updates which caused the car to not be able to drive for a few hours. – Philipp Jan 26 '16 at 16:10
1
I think this is off topic. It feels as if it is more of a question for the car manufacturer and something likely to be on the manufacturers FAQ page. – Rich C Jun 13 '16 at 21:47

That is not a prototype in a device sense. It is a proof of concept. You'll be a long way from any kind of launch as you won't a final product with the Arduino. – Dom Aug 10 '16 at 12:53
