I am a software engineer at the Carnegie Mellon University Software Engineering Institute. I received my PhD from the University of Pittsburgh in 2007, presenting a dissertation on a novel algorithm for automated n-dimensional medical image segmentation and associated parameter optimization techniques. I have since worked in the fields of medical imaging, automated disease surveillance, immersive learning technologies and virtualization.
