By day, I am a z Systems Architect for IBM. I lead our North America z Architect team - about 50-60 folks who help our customers build infrastructure and applications on z Systems (zOS & Linux). In addition to leading the community, I do solution design for customers myself. My current interests are in integration of mainframe development processes with the overall DevOps approach for their company/organization, as well as hybrid cloud architecture that brings together public cloud IaaS/PaaS (IBM Bluemix or AWS or Azure, etc.) with IBM zSystems.
In my home time, I like to play around with home automation systems (SmartThings right now), weather sensing (Netatmo) and Raspberry Pi. My current learning efforts revolve around Node.js, Javascript and Python
