I study whale ecology, movement, and behavior using tags, acoustics, and visual survey data. My main species of interest have been blue, humpback, fin, gray, Bryde's, and beaked whales.

I have a PhD in Oceanography from Scripps Institution of Oceanography and an MSc in Marine Science from Moss Landing Marine Laboratories.

I am a contractor at NOAA’s PIFSC and a postdoctoral researcher at Oregon State University under the National Science Foundation Office of Polar Programs Postdoctoral Research Fellowship.
