I've always been attracted to the art of programming. Guess it started when I got my first computer, a Commodore 64, and since then it has continued to fascinate me.
I work as a full-time systems developer of database driven applications, using C# / .Net and C++.
I started programming using some Basic then C and finally C++ and Python. I've also tried getting the grips on LISP and functional programming.
Right now I really love working in the C# language and the .Net framework, as it contains so many useful default data structures to use straight out of the box. Also the syntax and the of the C# language is pretty decent.
Right now I'm learning about the new features in C++11 and GUI programming using the Digia Qt framework and brushing up on some Python 3.
I hope to be able to contribute to the StackExhange network!
I had a profile on StackOverflow earlier, but in anger I deleted it because I don't like how the voting system has turned out and how many people here hunt for points using nothing but Google to post a quick answer (knowing nothing about the topic), and how people use the down-vote action without reflecting over the content of the material posted.
I've worked in the IT industry since 1996, both as a network admin, security consultant and as a programmer. I think I've picked up a thing or two about various topics.
