Worldbuilding: What forms of communications aliens could use efficiently (e.g. chemical transfer instead of sound)? I think this question is too broad to be a good fit. Questions like this are likely to produce list answers. A better question would be Would aliens be able to communicate via <x> effectively. |

Worldbuilding: How exactly does one set the shape of the continents without make a mishapen blob. I like this question a lot. I'd up vote it if I had any left. |

Worldbuilding: How do you collaboratively build a magic system in a way that doesn't let one contributor's spells overpower another's? I agree with @JayNeely that this isn't about world building. A world should be able to support any magic system, any game system. Your question is about rules for magic, which is game development. Spells and how they work are unique to game systems. |

Worldbuilding: I want to create a small community, living e.g. on a spaceship or an island. How small can it be and still be viable? @ranger10700 I would think that information would be included in the body of the question. You have to bare in mind that these questions have limited text. |

Worldbuilding: How can I make my language sound more aggressive to character hearing it? I like this question, though I'm not sure if it belongs here. Would this be better on Roleplaying stack exchange? |

Worldbuilding: What environmental factors could prevent a society from developing electricity? @Liath I agree, it's no more broad than that and IMO that's not really a suitable question for the SO format. Others seem to disagree. I'm open to the fact I could be wrong here, but I believe it needs more discussion. |

Worldbuilding: What environmental factors could prevent a society from developing electricity? @kexx well you've just given two possible answers right there. This question is far too broad for the SO format. There could be dozens of reasons, if not more. |

Worldbuilding: What environmental factors could prevent a society from developing electricity? This question is rather subjective and open to forming lists. A better version would be Would <X> stop electricity from being developed. as it's more specific. |

Worldbuilding: For a galaxy, is developing conscious beings on constituent planets a sound strategy to grow and merge with other galaxies? You might want to clarify this as currently it doesn't make much sense. I read through the question 3 times and still couldn't understand what you were asking. |

Mythology: Did ancient cultures have any deities not based on natural elements like the Sun, Earth, rain etc? What were the origins of their deities? OK, so then a more appropriate question might be Are there any ancient cultures who based their deities on something other than natural elements.? |

Mythology: Did ancient cultures have any deities not based on natural elements like the Sun, Earth, rain etc? What were the origins of their deities? You may not be looking for a list but this question in its current format is likely to produce list answers. You'd be better off with We're the gods of <x> culture based on something other than natural elements and if so what we're their origins? The difference here is you're asking for a specific culture, whereas right now you're asking about all cultures and thus are likely to get a list of cultures that match your criteria. |

Worldbuilding: What infrastructure would a civilisation need to survive in an enclosed environment? By civilisation in this instance I mean at least 100,000 people. They would be in a completely self-sustaining, closed environment that provides everything necessary for survival. Assume an infinite energy supply is available. |

Worldbuilding: If an evolving society of human-like beings happens to have no fingers/toes, would they still develop written language? I don't think they'd be able to evolve (survival of the fittest). Opposable thumbs gave us a large edge early on in our evolution. |

Worldbuilding: How can I break down the task of creating a world into manageable chunks? Creating a whole world from scratch is a massive undertaking. Where would you begin, what steps would you break it down to etc? |
