A Business Intelligence developer, primarily working with the MS BI stack. Certified MCTS in SQL 2008 BI and working towards SQL 2012 MCSA at the moment. My organisation's adopted SQL 2012 at an early stage, using the BI stack, especially SSAS 2012 to identify new opportunities for the business and leverage our existing data warehouse. My team is extremely focussed on research and RAD, with a view to acting on new ideas as they come up, rather than getting caught in the design - develop - support cycle. We also investigate a lot of new technologies and techniques, let the situation dictate the technology, rather than vice-versa. I also have several years' experience with niche products such as 4th Dimension (4D) and Filemaker, although mostly forgotten now. As for free time, I'm into football (Motherwell FC), american football (Dallas Cowboys), video games (XBL: Obi TW0), movies, music and plenty more.
