I am a Ruby on Rails developer with over three years' experience in Rails and two years with Git, RSpec, Cucumber, HAML, SASS, CSS, Selenium, and jQuery. Previously a practicing physician with a non-profit organization in Africa, I used Ruby on Rails to develop an electronic health record, a personnel database, and a crisis communications system with email, SMS and web interfaces (see on GitHub). I have recently completed the University of Texas at Austin Certificate Program in Health Information Technology and Health Information Exchanges. I love programming to give users new power (like being able to view a graph of a patient's HIV parameters or send an urgent SMS message to a group) or to make cleaner and more efficient solutions. |
